A Mental Health Center for Seniors, a building for individual services where every place has a specific function.
The Vila de Gràcia-Cibeles Mental Health Center for Adults is a building with 32 apartments for older people with common areas. A building with services such as those of a retirement home, but for adults who cannot take care of themselves.
When signage needs to be adapted to the singularities of a specific target.
Signage projects always have a functional side. In this case, functionality is especially important, since success means that everybody who lives in the building must be able to understand and recognize the rooms easily.
Chromatic signage, where colors define spaces.
For this reason, we had to consider the difficulties that reading and remembering the letters and colors put to the residents. We chose chromatic signage, where colors define spaces.
Establishing a chromatic code lead us to create a modular system to generate signage for the building and establishing it in a clear, coherent, and homogeneous way.
